Modifications in Names of BCI Certifications
The BCI BPO Professional Certifications Board (BPCB) has set up a special Nomenclature and Designation Management Committee (NDMC) under the aegis of the BCI BPO Professional Standards Council (BPSC) to look into requests and feedbacks from various international stakeholders and the six BCI Zonal Advisory Boards regarding renaming or modifying names of BCI certifications to keep them market-relevant. The NDMC has commenced action on the proposal to modify the CFPA® certification from Certified Finance Process Associate to Certified F&A Process Associate.
BCI and TMI to work closely to expand Talent Management Consciousness
The Talent Management Institute - soon becoming a part of the TCG Hamilton – and BCI are on the verge of signing an MoU that will pave way for the two global standards bodies to work together for the promotion of talent management consciousness among organizations across industries. Notably, the BCI PRIDE model - deployed during the BCI BTMQ® audits as prescribed under the TMMS - owes its origins to a TMI research in 2005, and this relationship now is poised to reach a new level. While BCI will contribute through its experiences and expertise in implementing TMMS in the business process outsourcing industry since 2007, TMI seeks to leverage its more pan-industrial approach to propagating talent management excellence in organizations across verticals and sizes. Indeed, TMI also hopes to draw a lot from BCI experiences to develop and strengthen its own enterprise certifications in the months to come.

South America Catches BCI Attention
With billings touching USD 13.00 billion in 2012, the South American BPO industry has verily emerged as a BPO power-zone. The Latin American BPO companies, who have matured their businesses substantially by servicing the fertile domestic markets for years now, have begun seizing the near-shoring advantages that they have with the United States. With a partner already installed in Mexico, BCI is now looking at strengthening its presence in the region by associating with universities, governments and technology parks. The BPO Professional Certifications Board is already evaluating the recommendation of the BCI Zonal Advisory Board for Latin and Central America to release certifications in the Spanish and Portuguese Languages. Once executed, these versions of BCI certifications are expected to expand BCI reach to more than 15000 individuals annually, who are working or planning to work in the Latin and Central American BPO industry.
