Technically, the Industry Research Services Group (IRSG) is one of the oldest BCI organs and BCI’s growth into a BPO standards and credentialing major owes a lot to it. Though named as IRSG only in early 2008, this group has been responsible for generating all industry-related as well as other collateral knowledge and information bodies, on which several BCI services and offerings have been founded, tested and commissioned. BCI’s research activities cover the entire spectrum of aspects critical for BPO service-provider organizations – some of the most path-breaking of which include the global competency quality and abundance studies; national competitiveness researches; talent quality indexing studies; industry performance reports and industry evolution studies.
Today, the IRSG works on a far expanded mandate and its services are designed for multiple stakeholders including governments, BPO companies, industry associations and in June 2010, will also publish BPO industry reports starting with BCI Asia BPO Talent Report - 2009, other research reports to follow will be BCI Asian50 (50 Most Admired BPO Companies in Asia); BCI Global 50 (50 Most Admired BPO Companies Worldwide) and BCI World BPO Human Talent Report.
The key services offered include:
- Competitive Advantage Research for national BPO industries.
- Industry Health-checks and BPO Eco-System studies for national governments and BPO industry associations.
- Human Competence quality research and Talent Management system studies for BPO companies.
- System micro-studies for process optimization in BPO organizations.
The knowledge and practice bodies of all BCI service groups draw heavily from the IRSG when it comes to developing or renovating the building blocks of solutions and principles based on market and industry requirements.
